Man, the voices sounded just as good as in the old days of the group, the banjo made up for the lack of drums, and the Bass was fantastic. He filled in any of the gaps. Great guy on the bass. I play bass so I am listening to the bottom end. I played lead guitar for years, but I got on bass and loved it because a good bass player can get the grove going.

Trying every avenue I can for some info! I am going to the Doobies concert in Tampa on July 11th (2024) (my 5th time seeing them! First time was Tampa Stadium in 1976). Can't reach the venue and I bought tickets that include the sound check. It is hot as heck in FL in July, it's an outdoor venue with shade. The concert starts at 7P EST. I can't find any info as to the time the sound check occurs. Way to hot to sit for several hours with nothing going on. Any suggestions? Thanks.

the doobies really transitioned smoothly from rock in their early years to funk pop and I love both sides.
